Platforms, citrus hues and lingerie, are all coming our way this spring, taking me right back to the 90’s!! I have to say I’m rejoicing a little with this news. I vividly remember going out in my mint green suit with lace lingerie bodysuit on complete show. Victoria Beckham was a huge fan of this trend at the time.
Now I know platforms aren’t as flattering on the feet as a flat sole and slender heel, but when you are as vertically challenged as me, they can be miracle workers!
Another thing to look out for are oversized bags. They will be big enough to chuck in your kitchen sink! So be prepared to loose your car keys!!
There will also be checks galore giving us a break from floral’s, but fear not, white nightdress inspired dresses will still be everywhere, so no need to ditch all of last years floaty white frocks.
All of this means it’s time to ditch the neon brights (thank the lord!) Bench the florals, don’t charity bin those just yet… they will be back and get those feet ready for the chunkiest shoes you can find! I will definitely get on board with that, although I will still be wearing cowboy boots more than any other type of footwear this Summer.
For now though, wrap up, it’s mighty cold outside.
